RoHS Statement
Most of the products currently manufactured by Kemcor Inc. are RoHS Level 3 compliant (As per Directive 2015/863) with the exception of some of our flame retardant TPE jacketed cables. These jacket compounds may contain Polybrominated Biphenyl Ethers (PBDE) as a flame retardant. If customers do not purchase cables with these specific flame retardant TPE jackets, then all products manufactured by Kemcor Inc. will be compliant. We are currently evaluating alternative flame retardant compounds. Part of the directive states: Member States shall ensure that, new electrical and electronic equipment put on the market does not exceed specific concentrations of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), polybrominated biphenyl ethers (PBDE), bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP),or diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) . The maximum concentration values are listed below:
- Lead (Pb): < 1000 ppm
- Mercury (Hg): < 100 ppm
- Cadmium (Cd): < 100 ppm
- Hexavalent Chromium: (Cr VI) < 1000 ppm
- Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB): < 1000 ppm
- Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE): < 1000 ppm
- Bis(2-Ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP): < 1000 ppm
- Benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP): < 1000 ppm
- Dibutyl phthalate (DBP): < 1000 ppm
- Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP): < 1000 ppm
Kemcor's determination of compliance is based on reliable information from our suppliers, however, this information is supplied to us without any representation of warranty regarding its accuracy or correctness. We do not perform any testing on our raw materials or end products to specifically measure content levels of these compounds.
REACH Statement
Under the definition of the REACH regulations EC1907/2006, Kemcor Inc. is a producer of “articles”. REACH requires article suppliers to inform recipients if an article contains a Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC). The ECHA (European Chemical Agency) releast an update list of 205 SVHCs on Jan 16, 2020. The list can be found at:

Based on the material content certifications provided by Kemcor Inc. suppliers, these substances are not present in the materials we use in our products, including packing and shipping materials. Therefore, all of Kemcor’s manufactured products are REACH compliant and do not contain any of the 205 REACH SVHCs as identified by ECHA as of Jan 16, 2020.
